Arcynide ("we", "us", "our") is based in London, UK. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use our website or services, why we collect it, and what rights you have over it. We take a minimal-collection approach — we only ever collect what's needed to actually carry out your repair, build, or delivery.
What We Collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Contact details — name, email address, phone number
- Order details — service requested, device information, custom build specifications, and any images you choose to attach
- Delivery details — address, postcode, city, and country, if you use our delivery option
- Payment information — we never see or store your card details. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor
- Basic, anonymous site analytics — page visit counts with no cookies, no IP address storage, and no individual tracking of any kind
Why We Collect It
- To identify and process your repair, maintenance, or build request
- To create and send invoices, receipts, and order updates
- To arrange delivery, where requested
- To contact you about your order via your preferred method (phone, email, or WhatsApp)
- To improve our services based on general, anonymous visit patterns to our site
Who We Share It With
We use a small number of trusted service providers to run Arcynide. Each only receives the specific data needed to perform its function:
Stripe — processes card payments. Handles your card details directly; we never receive or store them.
Resend — sends transactional emails (invoices, receipts, order updates) on our behalf.
Supabase — securely stores order and inquiry data in our database.
Netlify — hosts our website and backend functions.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third party for marketing purposes.
How Long We Keep It
We retain order and customer records for as long as needed for accounting, warranty, and legal purposes — typically up to 6 years, in line with UK record-keeping requirements. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see below), and we will remove your data unless we're legally required to retain it.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data
- Ask us to delete your data, subject to legal/accounting retention requirements
- Object to how we process your data

Cookies & Storage
When you first visit, we ask which kinds of storage you're happy for us to use. You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings (also linked at the bottom of every page).
- Essential (always on) — your shopping cart (saved in your browser's local storage), a record of your cookie choice, and fraud-prevention cookies set by Stripe on its own secure payment page when you check out. These are needed for the site to work and don't track you.
- Analytics (only with your permission) — an anonymous count of which pages are visited. We store the page address and the time only: no IP address, no cookies, no identifiers, and nothing that could identify you. If you choose "Essential only", no visits are counted.
- Admin area — our staff login uses Netlify Identity, which stores a sign-in token for staff only. Public visitors are never affected.
We don't use advertising, social-media or cross-site tracking cookies, and we never sell your data.
